Others-such as the confluent pipe are quieter and need to be accompanied in performance by quiet instruments.A torus shaped embouchure instrument is also only a little louder, but has a unique tone, and a different fingering system. They are both softer and more fluting soundwise.

If you want another style of tuning, it can be arranged to build you a conventional " one port -one-note" style (ours are more expensive in this style but can be made to order-though it is un-supported as yet with tablature by us).

Yes, like most ceramics and the majority of ocarinas it is pottery (tho quite robust fired to 1010centigrade).

Thanks for your enquiry,it has made me realise that I need to upload a quick tour with briefer pages.

My long term friend and associate John Taylor has some confluent pipes for sale, which are essentially double ocarinas that are connected by a passage or passages in their interiors which gives them unique properties of tone and range only found on the border between a single and a double chambered ocarina.I can ask JT to send you details if you wish-just send a postal address.

Depends on the capabilities of the player, whereas very sophisticated western harmonic pieces are easy to play in concert wth our popular fippled range,( which are less expensive and are sufficiently loud for chamber performance ) - besides being exactly in tune and richly dynamic playing chromatically too. There is a wide and growing range of tunes availiable on line for these.

Others-such as the confluent pipe are quieter and need to be accompanied in performance by quiet instruments.A torus shaped embouchure instrument is also only a little louder, but has a unique tone, and a different fingering system. They are both softer and more fluting soundwise. If you would like to order a larger egg-shaped embochure tuned pair of ocarinas suitable for group playing, their practical range is only an octave or perhaps a ninth for a good player. These would take time to produce and would cost 70 pounds sterling for a large G and 45 pounds for a tuned smaller C. Fippled equivalents are cheaper-55 and 25.I apologise for delay in getting up sound files samples and a more user friendly ordering system, but they are in the pipeline... Thanks for your enquiry,if you have any more questions-dont hesitate
