Also take time to check that the half-knots remain tight on the thong by pulling them out away from the ocarina safety loop and re-tightening them on the thong-then pull knots back to the loop.

This could put a twisting strain on the loop which is capable of breaking it!

When the knots have bedded in it can be adjusted to be worn without a shirt and not swing perilously during periods of high activity.

The cord is approximately 90cm and if it is required to be of a shorter length,loosen one of the half-knots and slide the loose knot toward the safety loop and retighten making sure to trim off the longer surplus piece diagonally (for aesthetic reasons).
