"ZELDA - THE OCARINA OF TIME"
Currently under research is the ocarina connection in the soon-to-be-released
Nintendo 64 Game: Zelda-The Ocarina Of Time. (October 15, 1998)
We've found tons of postings in UseNet about the game and the picture
is getting clearer by the day. (December 31, 1998) Folks are writing us
every week about whether we make ones that look like the one in the Game.
Until we know just what's going on here, we submit this:
"4. The Ocarina is located in the Dream Shrine in Mabe Village. You
will need the Power Bracelet and the Pegasus Boots to
get it.
5. The locations of the songs are as follows:
The Ballad of the Wind Fish - you will need to see Marin to learn this
song. Talk to her and she will teach it to you. If you have just beat Level
7--Eagle's Tower and you can't find her, she is located on the way to Level
8. You will find her out on a bridge. Fire your Hook Shot and that will
rescue her. Once she leaves you can find her back in Mabe Village in order
to learn the song.
Manbo's Song - to reach Manbo you will need to swim up to the cave
that is west of the entrance to Level 4. Enter it and Manbo will teach
it to you.
The Song of Awakening - to obtain this song you will need to head south
from the entrance of Ukuku Prairie. Jump the rows of pits to enter the
Signpost Maze. Here follow the signs exactly and a set of stairs will appear.
Head down and Mamu will teach you the Song of Awakening for only 300 rupees
(ouch!)." -- from somewhere on the web...
UPDATE: Long has it been known that the Royal
Family of Hyrule possesses mystical powers reputed to come from certain
mysterious melodies passed down through the ages. Only a few worthy
instruments created by the uniquely gifted craftsmen of the Royal Family’s
bloodline can play of these powerful melodies. One such instrument,
the legendary Ocarina Of Time, grants the power to open the portal to the
Sacred Realm where the divine Triforce rests. "Remember, Information
is not knowledge; Knowledge is not Wisdom; Wisdom is not truth; Truth is
not beauty; Beauty is not love; Love is not music; Music is the best."
-- Frank Zappa Hint = Saria gives you the Fairy Flute. You
can't get the Ocarina Of Time until you get all three medallions and return
to Hyrule Castle, at which Point Link's nightmare will become reality and,
as Zelda is taken, the Ocarina is tossed into the moat. You
will get the Ocarina of Time by visiting the castle once you have three
stones that you need to collect as a child the one from the mountains and
the one from Zora's...just go around and talk to everyone and you'll get
all the clues you need.>>>January 15, 1999>>>They won't let us alone, we
must form a little blue traditionally shaped Oc, replicate the tri-force
on the mouth piece and give the Public what they want, we hope we don't
make Nintendo Angry, why don't they have one out??>>>February 25>>>One
of our associates has been assured by "a rep at Nintendo" that we are safe
to emulate the look of the Ocarina of Time in building a Real Ocarina.>>>March
19, 1999>>>The Zelda Limited (I) Handbuilt Porcelain is SOLD
OUT and the Zelda Limited II is in the works. The Fairy Ocarina
is available, as well. Zelda Fans around the Globe love them, Ocarina
Makers Worldwide are experiencing a boon. Ocarinas are probably the
Oldest Wind Instrument in the World and we are pleased at any recognition
they get. The awareness of the Instrument has been raised considerably
by the Ninetendo64 Game, "Zelda, Ocarina of Time", and we thank the Makers!!!>>>March
31, 1999>>>Sandi and Michael D., N64 Editor at ant.com, cook up a contest,
WIN AN OCARINA, having fun trying!!! The contest had a happy winner and
ant.com is now antkids.com (??)>>>April 7, 1999>>>We stand corrected: "
The Ocarina you're describing on this page>>> (http://www.clayz.com/stories.html#ZELDA)
isn't from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. You are giving accurate
directions to the ocarina in Link's Awakening on the Game Boy. This was
the first appearance of the ocarina on a Zelda game, although the first
two had "flutes". The story under "Update" is from Ocarina of Time, however.
Just wanted to let you know." from Michael, ant.com>>>March, 2001
The Limited II has been a raging hit for two years now. Although
never actually endorsed by Nintendo, we received a Big Wink from the Top
Dogs at Redmond Headquarters, when they purchased 55 of our Limited II's
for Holiday Presents in December, 2000!! Our eldest Grandson, Justin, has beat the
game, and is our constant and loyal advisor all all things Zelda/Ocarina
of Time/Majora's Mask.
